This website is operated by Perry Butcher Co. LLC, the legal entity behind the Perry Butcher Co. name. The pages here describe what the shop does. They are not a quotation, a contract, or a booking system. Nothing on this site can be ordered, reserved or paid for — every arrangement is made directly with the shop.

Availability and pricing change

Processing dates, share availability and seafood supply all move, and they move for different reasons — the season, the schedule, the weather, the market. That is why this site does not publish prices or claim that any particular item is in stock.

Seafood in particular is bought and sold at market price. What is in the tank on a Friday may not be there on a Saturday. Call ahead.

Custom-exempt processing

Perry Butcher Co. LLC provides custom-exempt processing: the animal belongs to the customer before it is processed, and the finished meat goes back to that customer for their own use. Under Maine's custom exemption this covers the owner, their household, their non-paying guests and their employees.

• Custom-exempt meat is marked not for sale and cannot be resold by the cut.
• Selling meat by the cut requires an inspected facility, which is a different service under different rules.
• For a share, the ownership interest must be arranged while the animal is alive, before slaughter.

This is a plain-English summary for customers, not legal advice. The applicable law and the shop's own agreement with you govern the actual service.

Cut sheets

The cut sheets on this site are a planning tool. Completing one does not book a processing date and does not guarantee that every selection is available for your animal — some choices depend on the animal itself, and some are mutually exclusive.

Confirm your final plan directly with the shop before your processing date.

The processing cut sheets can be downloaded as PDFs for your own use. Downloading does not submit or send the sheet to the business. You must contact the shop yourself to review it, discuss scheduling and provide or bring the PDF. The download does not place an order, create a contract, reserve a processing date, or guarantee cuts, services, availability or pricing.

The processing cut-sheet pages can work out an estimated processing cost from the weight and quantities you enter and the prices currently listed on this site. The beef-share and pork-share cut sheets do not include this calculator. Any calculated amount is an estimate and nothing more. It is not a quote or finalized price, it does not fix or lock a price, and all listed prices are subject to change. It may leave out charges that cannot be worked out online, the actual processing weight is taken at the shop and may differ from the weight you entered, and your selections may change once they are reviewed. The amount you are actually charged is settled with the shop.

Scheduling, deposits and cancellation

How dates are booked, whether a deposit is taken, and what happens if plans change are all agreed directly with Perry Butcher Co. LLC at the time of booking. Ask about them when you call — this website does not set those terms.

Accuracy

This site is kept as accurate as it can be, but it is a description of a working business rather than a live inventory. If something here conflicts with what the shop tells you directly, what the shop tells you is correct.

Analytics and third-party services

The site uses the Google tag with consent mode and Vercel Speed Insights. Google Analytics storage is denied by default; limited cookieless consent-mode measurements may be sent before acceptance or after decline. Accepting Analytics enables first-party Analytics cookies and fuller website measurement. The privacy policy explains the data, storage, providers and choices in detail.

Licensing

Perry Butcher Co. LLC operates under applicable State of Maine food and seafood licensing requirements. The credentials the shop holds, and the agency that issues each one, are listed on the licensing and permits page.
